The 2013 Veterans Day Ceremony at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in France included sounding of the eleventh hour on the eleventh day by the carillon, reading of the Presidential Veterans Day Proclamation, a wreath-laying, minute of silence followed by “Taps,” and playing of the national anthems.

The ceremony was coordinated by the Mayor of Romagne sous Montfaucon Nicolas Raffa in consultation with cemetery staff. This ceremony honored the sacrifices of the more than 15,000 individuals that are buried or memorialized at this site.
