Maintenance Projects Underway at Brittany American Cemetery

Published April 26, 2017

Two large maintenance projects began at Brittany American Cemetery at the end of October 2016. A new irrigation system will be installed throughout the fine lawn areas, and a new drainage system will be installed in the plot areas. Plots will be closed at various times as the work progresses. Pedestrian pathways will be shifted, and machinery and additional noise will also be an outcome of the projects. The work is expected to be complete by August 2017. The cemetery will remain open under normal operating hours. If you are a family member visiting, and need access to a restricted plot area, please go the visitor center, where a staff member will escort you to the gravesite. We thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure ABMC cemeteries adhere to the highest standards of excellence.
