Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery to offer guided tours every Wednesday this summer 

Starting July 17, the ABMC staff at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in France will offer a new series of summer tours of the cemetery and memorial every Wednesday from July 17 to Aug. 14, at 3:15 p.m. (local time).

These tours will uncover the cemetery's history and some of the personal stories of service and sacrifice preserved underneath these thousands of headstones.

Each tour will be unique and follow a specific theme as detailed below:

July 17, 3:15 p.m. – “Americans fighting alongside the French”

July 24, 3:15 p.m. – “Athletes among the troops”

July 31, 3:15 p.m. – “The 1930s Gold Star Mothers and Widows’ pilgrimages”

Aug. 7, 3:15 p.m. – “Native American soldiers during WWI”

Aug. 14, 3:15 p.m. – “Women commemorated at the cemetery”

This summer, the ABMC staff at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery will offer a new series of summer tours of the cemetery and memorial.

These guided tours are open to all, free to attend, and do not require any registration. They will be provided in French and/or English depending on the visitors and will be followed by the lowering of the colors at 4:30 p.m.
