Corporal Sucich was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Force. In Korea, he was a member of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while defending his position at the Pusan perimeter in South Korea on September 16, 1950.
