Notes
Private First Class Wenzel had served with the 187th Airborne Infantry Regimental Combat Team in Korea. On April 4, 1950, he was severely wounded and was evacuated to the Murphy Army General Hospital at Waltham, Massachusetts. On June 2, 1952, he was returning to the hospital after a weekend pass when he was killed in an automobile accident near Rutland, Vermont.
