Staff Sergeant Mishuk was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. On October 19, 1966, he was declared missing while fighting the enemy about 15 miles northwest of Da Nang, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
