William R. Carlin, Sr. was born in Ayrshire, Scotland on March 15,1903. He moved to the Canal Zone and worked as a civilian for the US Army in Panama. He was married to Catherine M. Carlin. After retirement he remained in Panama. He died on February 9, 1963 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
