Remembrance Ceremony at Epinal American Cemetery

Epinal American cemetery hosted a Remembrance Ceremony on December 10, 2017 at 3:45 p.m. Organized by the U.S. Memory Grand Est France, the ceremony had planned to feature an LED candle on every headstone and at the Walls of the Missing. The intention was for these candles to serve as a visual reminder of the thousands of Americans buried there in the cemetery, whose lives were cut short by war. Due to bad weather conditions, the LED candle portion has to be canceled. However, a wreath laying remembrance ceremony still occurred.
