ABMC commemorated the 67th anniversary of this battle on June 6, 2011 with a ceremonial reopening and rededication of the Pointe du Hoc Ranger Memorial.
On June 6, 2009 U.S. President Barack Obama, ABMC Secretary Max Cleland and others marked the 65th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy.
