Helen Gertrude Aanstoos was born on November 27, 1889 in New York. There she met Theodore Aanstoos and married him. She accompanied him to Cristobal, Canal Zone on September 14, 1915. After his death she moved to the United States. She died on October 14, 1985 in Fairfax, Virginia. She was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery with her husband, Theodore Aanstoos.
