Notes
Ensign Adams was the pilot of a F4U Corsair fighter with Fighter Squadron 74, aboard the aircraft carrier BON HOMME RICHARD (CVA-31). On August 14, 1952, while on a strike mission in North Korea, his aircraft made a dive from 8,000 feet toward the target but failed to pull out of the dive, crashed and exploded. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
