First Lieutenant Albright was a veteran of World War II, serving on Okinawa. In Korea, he was a pilot of a F-94B Starfire Fighter with the 68th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 6160th Air Base Wing, stationed at Itazuke Air Force Base, Japan. On January 10, 1953, he was on a combat mission to identify surface vessels in the Sea of Japan. His aircraft disappeared about 40 miles west of Tsushima Island.
