Corporal Alexander was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 223rd Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. On July 2, 1952, while fighting the enemy at Kumsong, North Korea, he was taken to the 11th Evacuation Hospital where he died of other causes.
