Lieutenant Allard, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 153, Carrier Air Wing 15 aboard the aircraft carrier USS CORAL SEA (CVA-43). On August 30, 1967, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4E) over North Vietnam. His aircraft crashed and he was listed as missing. His remains were recovered on August 4, 1993 and identified on October 21, 2000. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
