Private First Class Allen was a member of the 2nd Infantry Division Band. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy along the Chongchon River near Kunu-ri, North Korea on November 30, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
