Corporal Angle was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes

Corporal Angle was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Yongdong, South Korea on July 25, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Corporal Donald Eugene Angle were accounted for in 2019. His name is permanently inscribed on the “Courts of the Missing” at the Honolulu Memorial.
