Sergeant First Class Beever was a member of the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on August 17, 1951 and returned to duty on August 21, 1951. He was seriously wounded again on October 17, 1951 and died of those wounds on October 24, 1951.
