Notes
Private Beltz was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. On October 5, 1951, while attacking the enemy at Yonchon, North Korea, his platoon was pinned down. He singlehandedly attacked two enemy machine gun nests, destroyed the enemy position until he was mortally wounded.
