Notes
Captain Beneke was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was the pilot of a RF-51D Mustang fighter bomber with the 67th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 18th Fighter Bomber Group. On June 1, 1953, while returning from a combat mission, his aircraft crashed killing him.
