Private First Class Berry was a member of Headquarters Company, 72nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Wagwam, South Korea on May 8, 1951, as he was escaping from his tank that had been hit by enemy mortar fire.
