Private First Class Bluhm was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was wounded in North Korea on September 22, 1951 and returned to duty on September 26, 1951. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Hyonjo, North Korea on October 12, 1951 and presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
