Notes
First Lieutenant Bobak was a veteran of World War II completing 63 missions over Europe. During the Korean War, he was a pilot of a C-47 Skytrain transport with the 78th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Hamilton Air Force Base, California. On December 30, 1951, he was flying a C-47 transport with 28 airmen aboard on a flight to Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas when the aircraft iced up and crashed into the Armer Mountains of central Arizona killing all on board.
