Specialist, Fourth Class Booth was a member of 18th Aviation Company, 223rd Aviation Battalion, 1st Aviation Brigade. On December 23, 1970, he was the crew chief of a DeHavilland Otter Utility Aircraft (U-1A) on a courier mission when it broke up mid-air about 10 miles south of Tuy Hoa Air Base. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
