Captain Bosiljevac was a member of the 17th Wild Weasel Squadron, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base. On September 29, 1972, he was the electronics warfare officer of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105G) on a mission 23 miles southwest of Hanoi, North Vietnam, when his aircraft was shot down by Soviet surface to air missiles. He parachuted to the ground and was taken prisoner and died in captivity. His remains were recovered on September 24, 1987 and identified on February 3, 1988. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
