Notes
Master Sergeant Bott was a member of the 5th Special Forces Group. On December 2, 1966, he was member of a long range reconnaissance team about one and a half miles into Laos west of the Demilitarized Zone. His team was overwhelmed by the North Vietnamese and requested extraction. The extraction failed because of the heavy enemy fire. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
