Notes
Corporal Brandt was a member of the 65th Engineer Combat Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. In Korea, he initially built roads and airfields, but soon had to fight as Infantry to defend the Pusan perimeter. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy on September 17, 1950 and died a few hours later.
