Notes
Staff Sergeant Brassfield was a member of the 5th Special Forces Group. On April 6, 1970, he was a member of Reconnaissance Team Missouri gathering intelligence about 5 miles inside Laos east of Muong Nong in Savannakhet Province. The team stopped for a rest and came under fire mortally wounding Staff Sergeant Brassfield. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
