Notes
Sergeant First Class Bucheit was a member of Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 2, 1950 and died while a prisoner on December 31, 1950. His remains were recovered on July 24, 2000 and identified on August 8, 2006. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
