Master Sergeant Christensen was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He suffered coronary thrombosis at Pusan, South Korea and died on August 24, 1950.
