Chief Master's Mate Pat Cole was born in West Virginia on October 19, 1904. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as Chief Master's Mate aboard the submarine USS Lagarto (SS-371) during World War II. He died while on active duty on December 3, 1944 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
