Corporal Jimmy Conception-Chapman was born in Colon, Republic of Panama on November 30, 1943. He enlisted in the Army and served as a Private First Class with Company A, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam. He was instantly killed in action by an enemy explosive device while fighting the enemy in Quang Tri Province. He was promoted to Corporal posthumously. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery and reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
