Martin B. Connolly was born in Ireland on November 7, 1963 and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was naturalized shortly after arrival in the United States. In the early 1900's he moved to Panama and became a Construction Superintendent for the Panama Canal Company. He died on March 31, 1937 at the Gorgas Hospital and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
