Sergeant First Class Dannie Cooper was born in El Paso, Texas on June 19, 1947. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and earned a Purple Heart fighting in Vietnam. After retirement he served as a Superintendent of the Tunisian American Cemetery. In February 1990 he was transferred from Tunisia to serve as Superintendent of the Corozal American Cemetery until retirement in April 2003. After retirement he lived at David, Panama with his wife Ruth Cooper. He died on January 21, 2006 at HRRHL San Pablo, David Panama and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
