Miguel Corco was born in Olot, Spain on July 12, 1897. He immigrated to the Canal Zone with his parents in 1904. After graduating from Berkeley Business College in Berkeley, California, in 1917 he served as a Sergeant in the Quartermaster Corps, U.S. Army during World War I. He was naturalized on October 22, 1918. In 1919, he returned to Panama. On October 1, 1921, he married Alice Lepthien Corco and had two sons, Miguel, Jr. and Jose. He lived at Ancon, Canal Zone and was employed as a clerk in the Accounting Division, Panama Canal Company. He was promoted several times and in September 22, 1957, he was appointed Staff Assistant to the Comptroller. He died on June 14, 1991 at home and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery near his parents, Maria and Jose.
