Master Sergeant Davis was awarded the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Notes

Master Sergeant Davis was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company D, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Taken Prisoner of War on December 1, 1950 while protecting the withdrawal of the major units of the 2nd Infantry Division from Kunu-ri, North Korea. He died while a prisoner at the Pyoktong Prisoner of War Camp on April 30, 1951. His remains were not recovered at the time. Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Master Sergeant Davis were accounted for in 2017. His name remains permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
