Private Davis was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Notes
Private Davis was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 44th Engineer Combat Battalion, U.S. Army. On April 4, 1951, he was driving across 5 miles north of Chonju, Korea, when the vehicle went through the end of the bridge and overturned into the river.
