Private First Class Dorsch was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Private First Class Dorsch was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On the night of April 25, 1951, near Munsan, South Korea, a massive Chinese attack overran Company G's defensive position. Although PFC Dorsch was seen being taken captive, he was officially listed as Killed in Action. His remains were never recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
