Colonel Dudash was a member of the 333rd Tactical Fighter Squadron. On April 27, 1967, he was the pilot of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105F) on a mission northwest of Hanoi, North Vietnam, when it was hit by hostile fire and crashed. His remains were recovered on June 3, 1983 and identified on June 27, 1983. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
