Esteben Espinosa was born in Puerto Rico in 1899. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Private during World War I in Company B, Puerto Rican Infantry Regiment at Camp E.S. Otis, Canal Zone. He died while on active duty on April 24, 1918 at Camp Otis and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
