Peter Evans was born in Norway in 1861. He immigrated to the United States with his wife. He became a naturalized citizen and moved to Panama. He lived at Pariaso and was employed as Ship's Master on the tug "RELIANCE", with the Dredging Division, Panama Canal Company. He died on December 27, 1916 and was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. He was reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
