Captain Finn was a member of the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron. On December 24, 1971, he was the co-pilot of a North American Rockwell Bronco (OV10-A) on a mission over Attopeu Province, Laos, when it was hit by hostile fire and crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
