Major Fuller was a member of the 558th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On August 26, 1967, he was the bombardier/navigator of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4C) on a mission over North Vietnam, when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
