Notes
Master Sergeant Gallant was a member of Detachment B-52, 5th Special Forces Group. On July 13, 1965, he was on a reconnaissance mission in Dien Bien Province, South Vietnam when his unit became engaged with the enemy and he was mortally wounded. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
