Notes

In May 2016, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency exhumed the remains of an Unknown Soldier buried in Plot H Row 13 Grave 30 at Luxembourg American Cemetery with the belief that an identification could be made. DNA analysis and historical evidence were used to positively identify the remains as belonging to Pfc. Reece Gass, who served in the 33rd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Division, and lost his life on January 14, 1945. The remains of Gass were accounted for in 2017, and his name remains permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at Ardennes American Cemetery.
