Airman Apprentice Goetsch was a crew member of the Aircraft Carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CVA-63) off North Vietnam. On September 17, 1972, he was drowned when he fell overboard at sea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
