Notes
Captain Hall was a member of the 390th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Danang Air Base, South Vietnam. On April 12, 1969, he was the pilot of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4D) on an operational mission a few miles north of the tri-border of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia over Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. Radio contact with the aircraft was lost.
Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Captain Fredrick Mervyn Hall were accounted for in 2023. His name is permanently inscribed on the “Courts of the Missing” at the Honolulu Memorial.
