Notes
Staff Sergeant Herreid was a member of Detachment A-402, 5th Special Forces Group. On October 10, 1968, he was advising the 47th Mobile Strike Force during an operation on the Nui Coto mountain area in Chau Doc Province, South Vietnam, when he was reported missing. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
