Corporal Hill was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes

Corporal Hill was a member of the Heavy Mortar Company, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 2, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered at the time. Between 1990 and 1994, North Korea returned to the United States 208 boxes of commingled human remain which contained the remains of at least 600 U.S. servicemen who fought during the war. Through the efforts of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency the remains of of Corporal Hill were identified in 2016. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
