Airman Third Class Hodges was a member of the 39th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 18th Fighter Bomber Group. He contracted Bulbar Poliomyelitis and taken to the 25th Evacuation Hospital at Taegu, South Korea where he died on March 15, 1953.
