Private First Class Hunt was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Private First Class Hunt was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on September 28, 1951. His remains were later recovered and identified. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
